Single family home with fenced-in pool located a short stroll from one of the prettiest private beaches on the Treasure Coast provides privacy and quiet for your vacation get-away!
The interior of the home is arranged around a twelve foot vaulted great room with living area, dining area (seats 6 to 8), modern kitchen with peninsula that seats 4, plus an office alcove. The great room has an open feel with a three panel atrium door that overlooks the pool to the east and a triple bay window facing west. The home is tiled throughout with large travertine stone, imparting a warm, natural feeling to the home. Living room seats eight.
Bedrooms are light and airy. Two have french doors that open out onto the pool. The third bedroom is a twin with three windows facing west and north.
The master suite is a luxurious ~500 square feet retreat with sitting and reading areas and is furnished with Hedrodon king four poster bed and Bassett chifforobe and night stands. A wide bay window faces east. Master windows are fitted with dual curtains for room darkening and light white for room brightening. The master bath features a shower over tub.
The second bedroom has a king bed, large closet and patio doors onto pool. Third bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king. These two bedrooms share a bath.
The back yard focuses around the pool with privacy fences and hedges surrounding the space. A patio area, with gas grill, is ideal for lounging and dining poolside. There's a patio dining table that seat 5. Additional seating available. Beach chairs are provided in a storage chest. To rinse off after the beach, there is a hot and cold outdoor shower close to the pool. (please no glass in the pool or patio areas...)
The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, glasses (including stemware). Side-by-side refrigerator / freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and other small appliances. The window that opens to a pool area makes poolside serving easy.

The community:
Castaway Cove beachside is a charming quiet enclave of tranquility located on Orchid Island. The community is gated with a guard, 24/7. Several Florida publications have rated Castaway Cove as the “Best Beach: Florida’s Central Atlantic Coast”, due to it’s broad expanse of white sand with natural dunes sweeping down to the surf. The seven mile long stretch of Castaway Cove Beach is private access, so the beach is never crowded and often deserted.
Though secluded, Castaway is close to all amenities. A convenience store for a newspaper and a cup of coffee is about an eight minute walk. The highly rated Johnny D’s casual Italian restaurant market is just across the street from Castaway. Maison Martinique, is a white table cloth, French cuisine restaurant. Trattoria Dario, is an up-scale Italian restaurant, bar with happy hour. Havanna Nights is a resort-casual, tapas bar open for lunch and dinner with live music on weekends. All these and other amenities are less than a mile from the rental home.
Located about a mile from the bridge to mainline Vero, you’re never far from all shopping and entertainment. Everything from supermarkets, antique shops, public library, dive, surf shops and our rustic and charming downtown Vero are all within a 5 to 8 minute drive. Downtown offers cultural, historical and dining options. There's a monthly gallery stroll. Always something interesting happening...
Indian river lagoon has lots of other activities: kayaking, sailing, motor-boating, jet skiing, water skiing, guided nature tours, sunset cruises, etc. We are about 3 miles from the vero beach marina that offers many activities. There are several off-shore wrecks that offer excellent diving and snorkeling. Fort pierce has a large flotilla of recreational fishing boats. Vero beach is now recognized as the pompano fishing leader. On addition there are many public nature reserves and nature oriented attractions, such as: manatee and porpoise viewing, bird sanctuaries, etc.
