Welcome to Clear View on Lake Michigan! Clear View is located in Lakeside, MI, just south of the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Warren Woods Road. This amazing dog-friendly house puts you literally on the lakefront, right in the middle of a quiet, woodsy lakeside neighborhood. The private association beach is only for the four lakefront houses in the immediate area, which means there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sunshine and surf. The house was designed to accentuate the attributes of the site by connecting to the elements of sky, water, light, weather, and trees throughout the seasons. With the dwelling located just over the bluff and directly on the lake, there is a panorama of almost 270 degrees with almost complete and total privacy. Window placement focuses on the views and varied ceiling heights create a sense of protection and intimacy, especially in the winter months. Circulation flow allows for multiple ways between rooms and decks and makes the spaces feel more fluid. Once again, there are stunning views of the lake from many angles.
There are two lakeside exits from the lower level - one opens up to the huge deck overlooking the lake and the other opens to a cute screened-in room with a daybed for naps (not suitable for overnight guests). Multiple decks maximize outdoor living: a rooftop deck for sunsets and drinks; a private promenade deck off the main bedroom; a dining deck off the living space for the bounty of fresh food from the local markets; a generous, multi-level, pergola deck facing the lake to while away the day; and a floating dune deck apart from the house when you feel like being at the beach, but don’t want to actually go to the beach.
