Please note this charming house is one of the few originals remaining on Alki, so it comes with some quirks. There is another rental unit upstairs so you may hear occasional footsteps and creaks. We ask that all guests observe quiet hours. If occasional noise might bother you, our space may not be the ideal fit for you. Additionally, the space does not have an automatic dishwasher, so please keep that in mind. No unapproved guests or visitors. This space does not allow smoking of any kind, both inside and close to the property.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Alki Beach is where Seattleites escape to when they want to live close to the water but get out of the bustle of downtown, just 15 minutes away. The neighborhood wraps around the coastline of West Seattle giving you jaw dropping views of the Seattle cityscape. Just don't forget to turn around! In the charming beach town behind you, sits Alki Beach Park packed full of restaurants, cafes, and bars. You will also find a brewery hosting yoga sessions, beach shops, historic landmarks, and several iconic restaurants to Seattle. Our local hosts are happy to share our recommendations with you! Running parallel to the sandy beach, cyclists, runners, longboarders and rollerbladers can take advantage of a paved, 2.5-mile-long pathway. Bicycles, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are conveniently available for rent. On a sunny day, you might just want to pull up a lounge chair and snag yourself one of the grills and firepits there for public use.
GETTING AROUND
The West Seattle Water Taxi is the best way to get to and from downtown Seattle. Just 5 minutes drive to the Seacrest Dock off the east end of Alki Beach will take you to Downtown Seattle Waterfront in 15 minutes. There is street side parking if you prefer to drive yourself. Downtown is about 20 minutes away, and Uber/Lyft are widely available.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 7 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund. Insurance is available at a cost of 7% of the gross rental fee and allows you to cancel at any time without penalty under one of the 30 covered reasons (additional information on this insurance available upon request). Insurance is only available to US and Canadian travelers at this time.
