After taking over the Alps Motel, we decided we wanted to create a space that encompassed what it was like when the original pioneers came through Leadville to mine for precious metals but with a modern spin. The resultof our craft is a comfortable, modern stay that is perfect for your basecamp in Leadville.

The Space:
You'll have your own bedroom & private bathroom, both of which are pictured in this listing. The suite has a dining/work table for 2, a smart TV with Netflix & HBO, and a king bed. The suite also has a private bathroom with tub and shower. Perfect for a couple or individual looking for a clean place to stay with your own bathroom.

Recently remodeled with a modern look and feel, the Old Tale Inn is conveniently located off of main street. (This property does not allow pets, if a pet is found onsite there will be a $250 fine)

Guests have access to one parking spot, their entire suite, and the patio/ deck/ hot tub area.

The vast majority of our guests bring a car, as most of the activities to be enjoyed throughout the mountains are a bit further away than a walk will allow. That said, you're within walking distance to pretty much anything that is within the main Downtown Area of Leadville. There is plenty of free parking is available in our parking lot!

-39 miles to Beaver Creek

-42 miles from Breckenridge

Many of Colorado's best hikes and 14ers are also a short drive from Leadville:

Other Things to Note:
To make sure everyone can enjoy the space, Smoking or Vaping tobacco is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property. This includes decks, patios, & the hot tub. You must go to the sidewalk or street to smoke tobacco. We will cancel your reservation if you smoke on the property. Marijuana smoking is fine as long as it's outside. (a fine of $250 will be assessed, if someone smoked inside the room)

Old Tale Inn has a 1 gigabit internet line broadcasted throughout the entire motel, so the internet is incredibly fast in every single room!

We do everything we can to be environmentally friendly at Old Tale Inn. The lodge is powered by renewable wind energy offsets and we've taken many steps to make sure our environmental impact is as little as possible.
