Total of six bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, two full kitchens (no dishwasher), and a washer and dryer in each home. Quant, quiet cottage with a larger cabin next door nestled along the Shenandoah River, less than 15 mins from Luray Caverns.
The Space:
The cottage has an open floor plan between the living room and kitchen. Enjoy socializing with your entire group while you cook in the kitchen or relax in the living room. . The Kitchen features all the basic necessities for preparing meals in this dainty quaint cottage. House sleeps seven and has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, with a large closet and private entrance to the only full bathroom. Second bedroom has one twin size bed and another full. Each bedroom has beautiful natural light and great views. House has one full bathroom. Living room offers a queen sofa sleeper that can sleep two. Take a day trip to downtown Luray, visit the great eating spots or shop the local shops. House has parking for a car or large SUV, with extra parking for other vehicles. Free wifi. 4 Bedroom Home: Don't let the backwoods charm of the exterior deceive you, as this home has been tastefully appointed and decorated, down to the cheery kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout.
This four bedroom, two bath home also features a newly updated sunroom with a porch swing bed! Rain or shine, guests will be able to enjoy a taste of the outdoor views with this all-weather versatile sunroom. Bring your own kayak or canoe, there is a push-off only one hundred yards from the house!
Guests will get a true taste of the Shenandoah River area as they pull up to the front of our fenced in ranch-style home with cabin vibes. Enter through the gate to walk up the sidewalk to the front door of the home, with two steps leading up to a small covered porch at the front door. Guests will enter the code to the front door, which opens into the front living area, with a modern-style pull-out couch and accent chair facing a large flat screen Roku SmartTV and open concept kitchen and eating area beyond. There are two seats at the bar in the kitchen, and a four seater eat-in area off the kitchen. The kitchen is cheerfully painted and decorated, with all the necessary pots, pans, serving ware needed to prepare meals for family and friends. The Master bedroom is located on the right of the house and features a king bed with a full bathroom. The second bedroom is located to the left as you enter the house, and has two twin beds. The third bedroom with a full bed sits at back of the house and has its own entrance with back deck access, with a small patio table and chairs. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed. The sunroom has a porch swing bed (twin) to those who want to fill closer to nature, along with a dining table with seating for six, and a couch. We even have a wagon now to haul firewood or kids to the firepit!

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the homes that are situated side by side. Direct river access is a little hike through the woods, we recommend accessing the public access point through the gate just a little path up the road, as there's not a groomed path to the river from the home (or if you're feeling adventurous, take the hike through the woods!).
All cancellations due to weather are subject to our cancellation policy. There can be unpredictable winter weather in the Shenandoah Valley, which can make traversing roads and accessing homes challenging. We recommend purchasing traveler's insurance if you are concerned that your vehicle might not be able to traverse snowy roads during inclement weather and you may have to cancel.
The Neighborhood:
Our home is located about 35 minutes from the town of Rileyville, and about 15 minutes to Luray Caverns. There is a small town with convenience store located less than ten minutes from the home.
Getting Around:
This is a rural area, so driving is a necessity.

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
The river cottage house sits only 100 yards from the beautiful Shenandoah river. Guests have private as well as community access to the river. As you visit, sit by the fire pit experiencing nature at its best. Visit the famous Luray Caverns only about 10 minutes away. We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a $50 non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
Interaction with Guests:
We want to provide our guests with maximum privacy and flexibility, so we have check-in and check-out automated. We will call and touch base on the phone, and we can always have someone come and help if you need it, but otherwise, we will leave you and your friends and family to spend time together.
