View Cabin - Mountain Retreat w/Hot Tub + Sauna | Cabin in Springville
4 Bedroom Cabin in Camp Nelson, Springville
You'll know this place was worth the drive the moment you pull up.
View Cabin is nestled in Camp Nelson, California — a small mountain community inside Sequoia National Forest at the edge of the Southern Sierra Nevada. The kind of place where the air feels different the moment you get out of the car, the pace slows down on its own, and whatever was weighing on you before you left starts to feel very far away. That's not an accident. That's what 5,000 feet of elevation and a wall of pines does to a person.

INSIDE THE CABIN
The interior is warm, comfortable, and set up for real use — not just photos. Natural light pours through the windows with forest views on the other side. The living area is the kind of space where people actually gather: meals that stretch into conversation, card games that run long, movies when the group finally runs out of energy. It doesn't try too hard. It just feels right.
KITCHEN + DINING
A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook an actual meal together. Counter space, real appliances, all the basics stocked and ready. One of the best parts of a cabin trip is cooking together — this kitchen is built for it. The dining area is right there when everything is on the table and everyone is seated and ready.

Bedroom 4 - (2) Twin Bunkbeds

BATHROOMS
Three full bathrooms serve the cabin, on each individual level, each thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite master bathroom.
BONUS ROOMS
The game room is the heart of the cabin's entertainment — stocked with a pool table, arcade games, and shuffleboard for hours of friendly competition. Whether it's a rainy afternoon or a late night after dinner, this room earns its keep. Step outside to the spacious furnished decks and let the Slate Mountain views do the rest.
OUTSIDE
This is where the cabin earns it. Step outside and the Sierra Nevada opens up in front of you — mountain views that stretch as far as you can see, forest pressing in on all sides, and the kind of quiet that reminds you how loud regular life actually is. This is where mornings start and evenings end: coffee while the light comes up, dinner as it fades, one more drink under a sky so full of stars it looks unreal.

A NOTE ON GETTING HERE
Cell service disappears once you're on the mountain — download your maps before you leave Porterville. Stock up on groceries and gas while you're still in town. Then make the drive. The road is the transition. By the time you pull up, you'll already feel different. Guests who've stayed here almost always say the same thing on their way out: they wished they had booked one more night. The extra night is always worth it. Go ahead and add it now while you're still on the page — you won't regret it when you're sitting outside with a coffee on morning two.
The entire cabin is yours to enjoy, including every room, the outdoor spaces, and the driveway. There are no shared areas, no front desk, and no other guests on the property. Just your group and the mountains.
Free on-site parking is available for your vehicles. To be respectful of our neighbors, please park only in the designated parking areas and avoid blocking driveways or parking along the street.
We're always available through the platform if you need anything during your stay — a hiking recommendation, a restaurant suggestion, or something that needs attention at the property. We know this area well and love helping guests make the most of their time up here. That said, we believe the best stay is one where you barely need us at all. Your time in the mountains is yours. We stay out of the way — but we're always just a message away when it matters.
1. No cell service on the mountain. Download offline maps before you leave Porterville or Springville — Google Maps offline and AllTrails both work well. Wi-Fi calling works once you connect to the cabin internet.
2. The cabin sits inside Sequoia National Forest — not Sequoia National Park. The National Park entrance is about 2 hours away, but the forest here has the same ancient trees, trails, and views with a fraction of the crowds. Most guests tell us they preferred it.
3. Bears are active in this area. Never leave food, drinks, or trash outside — not on the deck, not by the car, not anywhere. Even for a few minutes. Wildlife here is real and part of what makes the place special; please treat it with respect.
4. No outdoor fires and no smoking of any kind on the property.
5. Stock up on groceries in Porterville before heading up. It's the last full-service stop and about 40 minutes from the cabin. A proper shop run there will save you from making the drive again mid-trip.
6. In winter, road conditions can change fast. Check CalTrans before you leave and carry chains if snow is possible. Four-wheel drive is strongly recommended from November through April.
