The Lowcountry at its orginal best. Old live oaks, camellia forests, magnolias, a perfect location from which to explore the Lowcountry. This cottage is the original house on the property known as Cedar Bluff, and shares the 3 acres with the owners who live in main house steps away. Still private and quiet.
The cottage features a wonderful screened porch, hardwood floors, stone fireplace with gas logs, ceiling fans throughout. Dating from 1925, the cottage has lots of character that one would expect but with all the necessities like updated bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, streaming TV, internet. There are only a handful of authentic Lowcountry River Cottages left: here is your opportunity to experience the Lowcountry at its best: comfortable, nestled among large oaks, pines, camellias and azaleas with a tidal river seen from the front porch.
Please be advised that there is no room for guests to keep a boat at the dock, with the exception of kayaks which are welcome.
